Paul in the West... We watched as the bull walked down and started to cross where we just passed over the ridge. Usually when an elk hits the human scent line...poof they are gone in a flash. Not this time. We used the cow elk soap by My Elk Call and the bull hit our line lifted his head up, rolled his lips and turned and came directly at us. I shot my elk at 10 feet as he continued to move towards me. This soap is the best thing I have ever used in the field.

Gary,
I got it today! I'm so excited about this. I gave the first press to My father-in-law for his birthday. We stayed up a few nights ago until 1 in the morning and making calls. We were driving everyone in the house crazy with our squeels while we were figuring out what makes the best sounding call (loose or tight latex). Anyway, I got him interested in the soap too and he ordered a bar or two. You may have seen an order for Mark Johnson. That's him. You may need to pass the advice on to him for my mother-in-law to bath in it instead of my wife... He drew an awesome elk tag in Utah this year and she's feeling the deer widow symtoms all ready...
I gotta tell you a quick story. 12 years ago I was bowhunting with a friend. I bought some single reed cow call that had unusually loose latex (i think it was a fluke). That call sounded so great to me. I mimicked a cow that came to my call and she literally nearly stepped on my friend. My friend said that my call and that cow were so close in sound he really couldn't tell the difference. Well over the last several years, every call that I waste 5 bucks on would be too tight. I inspect everyone the best I could-searching for loose latex and I'm always dissappointed. I've never had a reed that I loved since that one 12 years ago until this past week- When I made a super loose one in your press...It sounds so confincing. I get the mews to drop in the nice deep rich lows at the end. A very soothing sounding cow elk call. And I'm not kidding, 12 years since I've had a diaphram reed sound this good.
I can't even tell you how excited I am to go chase elk next month! You've got a great thing going here. Thanks again and happy hunting!

I just build my first call. After a little bending and forming its sounds great. Hard to get a good call anymore, well one that sounds good. I love this kit because I can do any numbers and cut outs i want with the latex. Im going to build a few for my fellow guides and we will put them to work for you. I couldn't tell you how many calls i go threw a year. I have to usually buy a lot because how far away from town and the poor craftsman's ship of the calls out there any more.
Thank you.

I received my turkey calling kit today and I made one in no time at all. I am so impressed. It sounds just like a store bought one and I had the pleasure of making it myself.
Thank you,
Cliff

THREE LITTLE BIRDS GAME CALLS
A couple of months ago I was asked to spend a little time working with a new product from www.myelkcall.com that will allow the user to design and build his own mouth diaphragm turkey calls.
When I received this product I was amazed with the simplicity of the design, and the seemingly ease of use. It wasn’t until I starting working with this product that I truly came to appreciate it.
Gary P., owner of myelkcall.com has come up with a wonderful idea and product!
After reading the directions, and gathering up the rest of the materials that I needed, (Exacto knife, small scissors, and roll of double sided Scotch tape) I went to work, literally!
I took this set-up with me to my office one morning when I knew it would be a slow work day.
Ah, the “perks” of working in law enforcement!
After about 30 minutes, everything seemed to just fall into place for me with this idea. The first two calls that I produced with this, looked amazing, just like a couple of mass produced double reed turkey diaphragms. The downside to these calls was what can only be described as user’s trial and error, leaning more on the side of error. It seems that I had not yet found the “groove” as far as the reed tension was concerned.
Both of my calls lacked the sound that I was looking for, but this has nothing to do with Gary’s product. This was/is the only drawback to this system, that there is no way to judge or be 100% consistent with reed tension, and as I found out first hand, can be a bit of a drawback when you are just starting out.
The upside to that, and the reason there is no included gauge system, is the cost. For less than $30, you can produce tons of mouth calls, tailored to your style and choosing!
Additional frames, tape, and latex can be ordered from Gary as well. And he is a SUPER guy! He is always willing to help with any questions or issues that you might have pop up, or to provide some additional answers or “tech support” for your call making adventures.
Coming from a call making background, I can honestly say that this product is top notch. Having the ability to make custom mouth calls right in camp, your office, the kitchen table at home, or even the tailgate of your truck, while in the field chasing a big gobbler, in less than a few minutes per call is amazing!
I would suggest to anyone out there that is looking for a way to customize your turkey call arsenal to look up www.myelkcall.com and give Gary’s product a try. After a time or two of using this, you will be amazed at the calls that you can end up with!

Dwayne in the backcountry Your soap is incredible. We walked in to the middle of 50-60 elk after 2 hours of chasing them up the mountain. We really smelled like elk. I will use your soap every time I go elk hunting.
Brent in Idaho: At first I was skeptical, but after making my first three elk calls.. I was hooked. Now I have a new fresh call every day elk hunting.
Randy in Idaho: I save up to 250% just by making my own elk and turkey diaphragms. Last year while Elk hunting we worked so many trophy bulls every day that I had to make new reeds at night while sitting around the campfire. My Elk Call is fast and easy to use.
Jay in Montana: A must for every elk hunter and turkey hunter that likes to make things themselves and save money!
Robert in Kentucky: Turkey hunting is tough enough, but making my own turkey calls is easy. I make turkey calls and sell them to my hunting buddies.
Geoff in Colorado: I made all my calls last season with the material I purchased from My Elk Call. My hunting partner chuckled at me, but when I called in a 6x6 bull for him to shoot with his bow at 20 yards he was not laughing any more. He now makes his own elk calls.
Bob in Montana: I do not have to make my elk calls last one whole season any more. Now I make them for less than two bucks each, they are disposable, I don't feel as bad when a $1.40 reed blows up, but when I use to spend up to $7.00 for one reed and it went bad, man it would destroy my day. Elk hunting is now easier on the pocket book.
Richard in Idaho: Simple to use, easy to make, very affordable elk and turkey calls.
