MOUTH CALLS WITH OUR MATERIALS
The easy yelper call is cut in the "M" shape.
For more raspy sound cut 2 "V' shapes in latex.
Raspy Hen Call cut. Top of cut is rounded.
Shown is cut for a cutting call a straight "V" shape.
Now take a pair or sharp scissors and trim to fit your call to the shape of your pallet.
You are ready to start calling!
Now take an old call you have and lay it over the new call you just made, use a pen draw the outline.
Notice the tight smooth latex.
As an alternate way to apply tape. Pull tape off paper and fold paper in half again. Place tape sticky side up. Place band with latex down in the crease then lay to one side then fold paper together from the bottom up securing tape.
Step 13: Take paper backing from tape and slide under
tape to lift up and over tab. Press down on
tape and you are almost done.
Step 4: Bend aluminum band on corner of
press where tape tab is.
Step 3: Close gate and secure latex. Make sure wrinkles are out.
Step 13: Lay band down on one side and get readyto lay other half over.
Step 12: Place band and latex straight down on center line and make sure it aliened side-to-side.
When folded you will now have a center line To help you place the band and latex. Lay tape flat on table to apply band.
Step 11: Take one tab and fold in half aliening ends of tab to get center line of tab.
Step 10: Release latex from press and fold dog-ear tabs over and then take pliers and press tabs down tightly. Go over the whole band to double check and make sure all is pressed together tightly. Take scissors and trim off excess latex leaving about 1/8th inch. Make sure you trim off around dog-ear tabs. If there is any latex that can touch the inner latex trim off or it will get in the way when using the call.
Step 9: Use pliers to fasten press down band to make sure tape is secure to aluminum band and latex. Go all the way around
the band and press tightly.
Step 8: Slide band over latex. You can use pliers to gently lift latex up if it catches on the tape to make sure it goes all the way to the bend in band and has no wrinkles.
Step 7: Now tape is applied bend down to 40 degrees before next step.
Step 2: Pinch latex between fingers and stretch to desired tightness everyone is different.
Step 1: Alien latex and close gate 1 securing latex so it will not move.
Step 6: Trim excess tape from inside and out.
Step 5: Place Scotch Double stick tape on inside of band to cover all area that will hold the latex in place.
